20 April 2005 Dear Sir/Madam, I highly recommend that you hire Ashey Tanis. She is an energetic, intelligent and diligent worker who will greatly enhance any business which gives her an opportunity. Ashley worked with our company as an intern assisting us with our Intranet production. As the senior creative designer responsible for developing graphics for this project, I worked very closely with Ashley. Using Macromedia Dreamweaver for the first time, she quickly learned how to create complicated layouts and produced many of the pages for the resulting website. I don’t recall any pages that required any rework as a result of her efforts. She completed the work quickly and was able to assist us with some other pages as well. In addition to her ability to quickly learn a program, Ashley has an acute sense of attention to detail. She asked probative questions about the software and the content in an effort to understand the concepts of website development, not just the task of placing content within a page. She asked questions and learned about our method of file management and efficient construction of website architecture. As a teammate, Ashley was wonderful. For a college student, she displayed remarkable maturity and ability to work with people much older than herself. She was respectful and polite, but did not hesitate to engage us in meaningful and often entertaining conversation. Following the internship, she wrote thank you notes reflecting her appreciation and a respect for our time and effort. This behavior led me to seek her out when I needed some assistance with a print production job. I thought of her immediately and convinced my teammates that she was the person to get the job done. We provided her with yet another challenge of learning the latest version of Adobe InDesign, which she quickly grasped. She was able to understand the subtleties of my page design and generated excellent results. Although the project went in another direction, Ashley was ready to go and I have every confidence that she would have been successful. I will definitely consider her for future freelance opportunities as long as she is available. If you would like to discuss this further, my email address is dmorrell@dfmc.org or you can reach me at 410-763-6256. I welcome the opportunity to tell you more about this fine young lady. Hire her now! David W. Morrell , MS Senior Creative Designer |
