Materials
For taking pictures:
- Camera - should have a manual mode
- Pencil and paper - if you want to write down the shutter speed and
aperture for each picture so you know how to alter it once you have seen the
developed picture
- Lenses - if you have extra lenses (such as ones that have a
larger zoom)
- Extra film
For developing:
- Your exposed roll of film
- Scissors
- Bottle opener - to open the film canister
- Developing tank and parts (film reel, black tube insert, locking piece,
and lid)
- Developer
- Stop-bath
- Fixer
- Hypo Eliminator
- Clothes-pin - or something similar to attach to the bottom of film for drying
- Negative sleeves - to store your negatives
For Printing:
- Developed Negatives
- Enlarger
- Large Piece of Glass - for making your contact sheet
- Masking Frame - where you place your paper to be exposed
- Paper - DO NOT EXPOSE TO LIGHT UNTIL DEVELOPED
- Timer
- Developer
- Stop-bath
- Fixer
- Tongs - to pick up the picture out of the chemicals
- Trays - so you have something to put your picture in while you look at it
- Water-bath
