Surfboard/Raft Rules Hanicap Accesibility Lifeguards Beach Streets Beachtags Beach Rules Hours Boardwalk Sufboard/Raft Rules Surf boards, rafts and inner tubes are only allowed on designated beachs from 10 am - 5 pm. After these hours they are allowed on all beaches, however there are no lifeguards on duty. The following beaches permit them from 10-5: 12th Street 40th Street 18th Street 50th Street 24th Street 61st Street 28th Street 69th Street 35th Street 78th Street Top of page Lifeguards The lifeguard station is located at 32nd and Avalon Avenue. Highly trained lifeguards are on duty from 10 AM - 5 PM at the beaches listed. If you stray too far in the water from their stations they will whistle you back over. Top of page Beachtags Beach tags are required for all who are 12 years and older from June 1st through September 2nd from 10 AM to 5 PM. Beach tags can be bought from the booth outside Community Hall or from the beach tag inspectors on the beach. Season Pass: $15 before May 31st / $20 after May 31st Weekly Pass: $10 Daily Pass: $5 Top of page Hours In the summer months of June, July and August lifeguards are on duty at the above locations from 10 am - 5 pm. During these hours, swimming is only allowed at those specified beaches. People may swim at their own risk during any other hours besides 10 - 5. Top of page Handicap Accesibility Surf chairs - beach chairs designed for the handicap - are avaible by reservation at the lifeguard station by calling 609-967-7587 . There are ramps to the beach located at 8th street, 30th street, and 80th street. Hard-packed gravel paths to the beach are located at 32nd street, 38th street, and 60th street. Ramps to the boardwalk are located at 21st street, 29th street, 30th street, and 32nd street. Littering is illegal, please use the provided trash and recylcing bins. No trespassing on the dunes, there is a $1,000 fine for doing so. The following are prohibited at all times: Fires Alcoholic beverages Glass and sharp objects Indecent language and behavior Dog Top of page Boardwalk The boardwalk is half a mile long and runs from 21st street to 32nd street. There are a few restaurants and an arcade on the boardwalk. Bicylcing is allowed from 5 am - 10 am. Motorized bicycles, skateboards, rollerskates, and rollerblades are prohibited at all times.
